At Wellhead Electrical Supplies, we’re all about innovation, quality, and, most importantly, people. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Stewart Henderson as our new Business Development Manager. With 40 years of experience in customer relationship management and sales, Stewart knows a thing or two about growing businesses and building partnerships. We had a quick chat with Stewart to get to know him better, and here’s what he had to say.

 

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

“Well, after 40 years in retail management, sales, and business development, I’ve learned a thing or two about building relationships and delivering results. I’ve spent a large part of my career focused on helping businesses grow by focusing on what really matters – people. I’m passionate about working with clients, understanding their needs, and helping them succeed.”

What attracted you to join Wellhead Electrical Supplies?

“The company’s dedication to quality and innovation immediately stood out to me. Wellhead’s reputation for top-tier customer service and its extensive range of products are impressive. It’s clear that the team here cares about their clients and takes pride in what they do – that’s the kind of company I want to be part of.”

What are you most excited about in your new role?

“The opportunities for growth in the electrical supplies market and working with a talented team. I’m looking forward to using my experience to identify new market opportunities and improve our client engagement.”

Can you share a bit about your vision or goals for Wellhead in the coming months?

“My vision is to continue building on Wellhead’s strong foundation by expanding our market reach while deepening our relationships with existing clients. I want Wellheads to be seen as not just a leader in the electrical supplies sector but as a partner that clients trust and rely on. Growth is key, but so is maintaining the high level of service that Wellheads is known for.”

What do you see as the biggest opportunities for growth in the electrical supplies industry?

“There are huge opportunities in sustainability and technology. The shift towards greener solutions and smarter technologies is creating new demands in the industry, and Wellheads is perfectly positioned to capitalise on these trends. We’re ready to meet the market’s evolving needs, and that’s a big reason why I’m excited to be here.”

What’s something about Wellhead that you think more people should know?

“Our dedication to customer satisfaction really sets us apart. We’re not just here to sell products – we’re here to solve problems. We work hard to understand what our clients need and provide tailored solutions. It’s that commitment to going the extra mile that makes Wellheads stand out in a crowded market.”

What’s your approach to building strong relationships with clients and partners?

“It all comes down to communication and trust. I believe in listening first and speaking second – understanding what clients need is half the battle. Being reliable, following through, and staying connected is how you build partnerships that last. It’s not just about closing a deal – it’s about building a solid foundation for the long term.”

Any fun facts or personal interests outside of work you’d like to share?

“I’m a big football fan – strictly watching, not playing! I also volunteer with the Bothie Project in Kintore. Oh, and I’ve done five parachute jumps for charity. I wouldn’t exactly call jumping out of a plane “relaxing,” but it’s definitely a great way to reset the mind! When I’m not jumping out of things, I love spending time with family and friends.”

What’s one piece of career advice that’s stuck with you over the years?

You have 2 ears for listening and one mouth for speaking, use them wisely.”   Simple but effective. Another piece of advice that’s stuck with me is to always be open to learning. Things are constantly changing, and the more curious you are, the better prepared you’ll be to adapt and grow.”

If you could describe your working style in three words, what would they be?

Collaborative, honest and driven.
