Eaton 90° and Inline Series of Adaptors provide a method of matching electrical threadforms on hazardous area approved equipment whilst ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained with the addition of the new “SWIVEL FEATURE”.
The 90° version (type TP-U) of the Swivel Adaptor has been designed to allow a full 360° choice of cable entry/exit position.
This enables the installer to run the cable in any direction which greatly improves the ease of installation in confined or difficult situations. The cable entry/exit can be aligned without the over under torque compromise imposed by the direction of the cable.
The Inline version (type TA-U) of the Swivel Adaptor allows independent connection at both ends.
Adaptors are used where the thread size of the cable gland or connection device is larger than, or of an equivalent size, to the entry thread of the enclosure. Reducers are used where the thread size of the cable gland or entry device is smaller than the entry thread of the enclosure.
Eaton Adaptors & Reducers are designed for hazardous area applications and are certified to protection concepts Exd “Flameproof” and Exe “Increased Safety” for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.
