2025 marked a significant milestone for Wellhead Electrical Supplies as we celebrated 35 years in business. It was a moment that highlighted the experience, stability and trusted relationships built over more than three decades. That foundation has shaped much of this year – a period of steady growth, a more settled team, and an increasingly balanced presence between our home market in Aberdeen and international exports. As the industry continues to evolve, 2025 has shown the value of consistency, quality and the long-term approach that has defined Wellheads since the beginning.
A Confident, Experienced Team
After several years of industry-wide uncertainty and supply chain disruption, 2025 brought a renewed sense of stability for us at Wellheads. Internally, the company feels more grounded, retention remains strong, and we have a deepening pool of experience across the team. This has supported our third consecutive year of profit after the pandemic – a milestone that reflects both operational resilience and the commitment of the people behind the business.
Balanced Growth at Home and Overseas
One of the most defining shifts in 2025 has been the continued growth of exports, particularly in emerging markets. Revenue has been almost evenly split – roughly 50% UK and 50% international – marking a notable change in how and where we deliver value.
Countries around the world continue to recognise the importance of high-quality, reliable electrical equipment, and Wellheads is increasingly becoming a trusted supplier. As growth in the North Sea remains steady but competitive, global demand has given the business fresh opportunities to expand and diversify.
A Smoother, More Predictable Supply Chain
In contrast to the delays experienced in 2023 and 2024, this year brought a welcome improvement in supply chain consistency.
Lead times have stabilised, communication with partners is clearer, and clients are benefiting from fewer unexpected disruptions. This steadier landscape has allowed the team to plan more effectively and deliver with greater confidence – both locally and overseas.
Growing Demand for Specialist Products
Aids to Navigation
Aids to Navigation remained a core focus throughout 2025, especially as offshore operators continue to prioritise long-term reliability. As we look ahead, this will stay a major part of Wellheads’ offering, with growing interest across global markets.
Audiovisual communication equipment
Another standout this year has been the rise in demand for DNH and Gai-Tronics range of communication equipment for hazardous and hostile environments. Both UK and international clients are increasingly opting for high-quality, durable solutions – an area where Wellheads’ experience and trusted product range have proven especially valuable. This growth is expected to continue in 2026.
Aberdeen Remains a Hub of Expertise
Despite the increasing emphasis on global exports, Aberdeen continues to be the heart of the business. The region’s concentration of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and long-standing client relationships remains a key driver of who we are and how we work.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into 2026, our priorities reflect the trends that shaped this year:
- Further growth in international markets
- Continued focus on Aids to Navigation
- Supporting increased demand for junction boxes
- Maintaining stability, experience and quality across our team and operations
- Keeping strong relationships with local clients while embracing the opportunities presented by emerging global markets
2025 has shown that Wellhead Electrical Supplies is not only adapting to a changing industry – we’re building on our strengths, supporting clients with trusted expertise, and positioning the business for continued success both at home and around the world.
